Light Reflective MoleculesOAP/PVA (Optically Activated Particles/Polyvinyl alcohol) is a unique, patented luminescent ingredient that emits and diffuses visible light to dramatically reduce the appearance of skin imperfections.
The 5-6 micron particles are undetectable to the naked eye and consist of a core of a fluorescent compound fixed to a microporous nylon matrix, encapsulated, with a crosslinked polyvinylalcohol (PVA). Examples of effectivenessThese examples only used the light reflective molecules, and not the wheat protein - so these photos only show half the story of the effectiveness of Dermaxime's INSTANT EYE LIFT
This light reflective molecule is a revolutionary new multi-component personal care ingredient that combines two mechanisms for reducing the appearance of skin imperfections. This material consists of a fluorescent compound chemically fixed to a microporous nylon-12 support, encapsulated with a translucent polymer coating. The fluorescent compound incorporated into the polymer absorbs invisible UV light and re-emits that energy as diffused visible light. The emitted light illuminates the shadowed areas of wrinkles, enlarged pores and other skin imperfections, thus significantly reducing their appearance. It's like putting a little frosted light bulb in the wrinkle! In addition, the structure of the particle combined with its encapsulation coating diffuses the light reflected from the skin's surface giving a soft-focus effect, thus further reducing the appearance of the skin's imperfections. The product's unique optical effect is due to an interaction of fluorescence, diffusion, and light scattering by the particles.
